Riverside Park Band Shell
Riverside Park is a beautiful venue. Who can think of a better place for a concert in the summer? Over the past several years there has been an ongoing debate regarding the band shell and its usefulness. The "shell" was built in 1930 to hold a group almost 1/2 the size of the current band. A few renovations added more space to the performing area, but did nothing for the acoustic quality. Here's your chance to register your opinion. Should the old shell be preserved for historical value? Should it be moved? What would a new shell look like?

Music Programming
Over the past 20 years LCB conductors have programmed nearly 700 different pieces of music in a wide range of musical styles. There have been many different types of soloists and featured performers. Here's your chance to request your favorites. Do you like medleys, transcriptions of symphonic works, marches, contemporary band pieces or the "classics"? Are you fond of a certain composer? Or a particular genre? Would you like more or less soloists? Perhaps you'd like to hear from a particular local performer...
Viterbo University concerts
For the past four seasons the LCB has performed an indoor concert at Viterbo University. The indoor venue enables us to program music that may not be possible outside and provides an excellent acoustical setting for the band. Although the venue has its advantages, attendance at these concerts is considerably less than Riverside Park with even the most questionable weather. On a clear, warm night attendance is huge! We've tallied over 2000 audience members for each of our outdoor concerts this year. We're looking for feedback on the Viterbo University concerts - let us know your opinion of the concert's programming, location, etc. These comments will help us determine if the indoor concerts should continue.
Our Conductors
For 2010 the LCB Board of Directors selected five different conductors to direct the band. Each conductor was asked to provide a theme for their concert(s) and select music that would follow that theme. We'd like to get feedback about our conductors, their themes and the music they select.
